Job Description

CPS produces hard and soft-bound binding through digital and off-set workflows with warehousing and fulfillment services.

Runs equipment as a backup to the most senior operator. 


  • Reviews job specifications and performs set up of major components of the equipment.
  • Monitors the equipment and product throughout the job run to ensure a high quality product.
  • Has completed training and is responsible for setup and operation of more complex components of equipment to ensure output of quality print product.
  • Actively participates in company safety program to ensure compliance with safety rules and contribute to safety culture.
  • Performs moderate to complex troubleshooting of issues with product or equipment.
  • Obtains maintenance support for equipment as needed.
  • Accurately records data collection, material usage, and identification of finished product.
  • Runs equipment as a backup to the lead operator
  • Implements, performs, and sustains housekeeping procedures to maintain work area and equipment. Equipment includes Vacu-Hoist, Pallet Jack, Bundler and Strapper
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, equipment displays, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders (level required = fully competent).
  • Able to lift the weight required for the position and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrated mechanical expertise.
  • Basic math and basic computer skills.

Experience and Education:

  • Completion of formal vocational training or on-the-job training after high school leading to the development of equivalent skills.
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
