The Senior Market Analyst is responsible for supporting the evaluations of fixed rate, floating rate, and money market instruments, as well as working on key projects and initiatives within Thomson Reuters Pricing Service (TRPS). TRPS provides evaluated pricing on over 2.4 million fixed income instruments and derivatives per day and disseminates these evaluations to asset managers, custodian banks, investment banks, and third party vendors. TRPS also collects and maintains terms and conditions and performance data on asset backed securities.
The main responsibilities of the Senior Market Analyst are to support the evaluation of credit sensitive instruments, money market instruments, and to research, analyze, and implement programmatic solutions for evaluation and data collection enhancements.
The analyst will acquire a detailed knowledge of the methodology and operations of each asset class in their market / region. This knowledge will be used when working on key projects and initiatives to support TRPS.
Also, the analyst will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of all TRPS operations, and have the ability to troubleshoot many production problems. They will also work closely with TRPS customer service representatives to qualify all customer suggestions. The analyst will help oversee specification requirements for each project and coordinate and support during the implementation process.
