Job Description

Thomson Reuters Transaction is seeking a highly motivated salesperson to expand our Transaction team. Candidates must have previous sales and/or trading experience and will also have sold in the Foreign Exchange Markets. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record for closing new sales, establishing deep relationships with FX, Equities & Futures clients across banks, hedge funds and corporates in Continental Europe. You will not only be selling to new clients, you will also be on boarding new clients and develop customised solutions for client trading, workflow and STP requirements. You are a self starter, have strong diagnostic and problem solving capability, be an innovative thinker and able to deal with high stress situations in a dynamic environment. This role will be located in either London, Paris or Zurich with frequent travelling involved.


  • Achieve target objectives for adoption and volume for assigned geographic territories. Currently we have a need to grow our Transaction business in East & West. This will be your first priority however as the role evolves there’s scope for more territories to be added.
  • Languages required French, German and English - Develop deep relationships with FX, Equities & Futures clients and ensure all potential revenue opportunities have been identified.
  • To identify, prospect and target new clients to sell our e-trading solutions to.
  • To be able to manage the sales process from initial sale, contract signature, document processing/set up to installation and revenue generation.
  • To grow volumes and revenues from an existing client base/region.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with our client base/end users.
  • Establish and maintain credibility, respect and levels of customer service that consistently exceed the expectations of our customers - Work well within a team environment to drive growth across a range of clients types. 

Qualifications Essential Skills:

  • The candidate must be highly professional, self-motivated and organized individual.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational capability.
  • Organization skill with the ability to regularly produce reports on results.
  • A demonstrable track record in FX/FI/Equities/Futures trading or FICC/Equities Sales within a bank or inter dealer broker
  • Fluent in French, German and English.

Desired Skills:

  • MBA or University degree or experience gained in the industry
  • Experience selling in the UK or in another regions in EMEA
