Job Summary: This position will be responsible for development aspects of Swift system. Specifically, responsible for design and implementation of various systems that support the swift backend. This candidate must be able to interpret business requirements and create backend development deliverables.  The candidate will be required to work with cross functional teams including but not limited to: Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Project Management.  Active participation is required in daily and weekly status meetings.  This candidate should possess the ability to identify solutions for complex problems, as well as demonstrated the desire to build their domain knowledge of the products they build/support.

Essential Responsibilities (Specific day-to-day responsibilities and milestones needed to achieve the objectives):

  • Active application development
  • Participates in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, and contribute to development project estimates, scheduling, test plans, and code reviews.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves potential application related problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.
  • Regularly informs manager on progress of project, identifying risks early in the process. - Review the Unit test case and the testing approach used by the team.
  • Work with the Architects community and understand overall direction for the organization. - Ensure best coding practices are followed.
  • Provide unit test code coverage.
  • Work with Continuous Integration Environments such as Jenkins and automated deployment tools such as Chef or Puppet.


  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in application development
  • Candidate should have expert knowledge of Java or .Net .
  • Have a clear understanding of Linux operating system.
  • Maintain high data security standards. 
  • Provide application documentation.
  • Address capacity planning. 
  • Ensure application integrity and security.
  • Provide weekly/monthly performance and data reports - Candidate should have extremely strong background in software engineering discipline
  • Good understanding and grasp of Agile methods and practical experience is a must
  • Knowledge of building of low latency systems.  AWS Cloud experience is a huge plus.
