Segment Coordinator

Purpose:

The Segment Coordinator will provide administrative support, document processing and general research services to the Segment team. 

This position is responsible for:

  • supporting the Academic Market in Canada;
  • assisting faculty using TWEN (Thomson West Educational Network);
  • managing and distributing all access (users/passwords) for TWEN;
  • password generation for Academic students (management and actual support and execution);
  • monitoring and distributing starter packages as well as advertising packages;
  • invoice management for all students across Canada (admin work which includes managing all expenses for students);
  • tracking all registrations of students WL/TNP;
  • coordinate weekly Segment communications;
  • managing client correspondence and gifting;
  • assisting with document preparation, mark-ups, proof reading, formatting of .doc, .ppt and other documents;
  • assisting  with directed secondary research across Segments, in support of insights development, customer/prospect identification;
  • helping in identifying Segment appropriate events, conferences and meetings to attend, sponsor or otherwise support;
  • organizing local regional/global segment meetings, with videoconferencing and telephone connections, agenda creation, resource provision and any other details;
  • coordinating travel and managing expenses for the team;
  • managing the administrative tasks associated with on boarding new Segment employees and practicum students; and
  • other duties as required, and as the role evolves.

You will be a strong team player and will possess:

  • a university degree;
  • the ability to be flexible in supporting the evolving needs of the Segment Team;
  • the ability to multi-task and detail-oriented;
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, senior management, peer administrative personnel and senior external contacts in multiple countries and time zones;
  • excellent organizational skills and prioritize workload, especially when under time pressure;
  • the ability to show initiative, be proactive, have a sense of urgency & drive and work well with minimal supervision;
  • the ability to anticipate situational needs and utilize logical thinking; and
  • proficient in MS Office, to include Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Knowledge of Thomson Reuters products and services, experience working in a global matrix environment, an understanding of the professional services industry and familiarity with social media (LinkedIn, Twitter) will be considered an asset.
