Job Description

Primary Objective(s)

The Channel Communications and Sales Enablement Specialist (CSES) reports to the Communications and Sales Enablement Manager (CSEM) and works closely with partners across the business – Sales & Client Management Leadership, Sales Operations, Training, Education & Development (TED) and Marketing – to provide sales enablement program support and develop content that helps Sales Executives and Client Managers sell and renew more effectively through implementation of coaching, best practices, and power messaging strategies.

In addition, the CSES executes Channel communication strategies and creates highly-effective delivery platforms including intranet sites, newsletters and virtual and in-person meetings.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Enablement – Develops internal and customer facing tools that support common sales methodology and help drive sales and revenue.

  • Creates sales messaging and support materials which align with Power Messaging principles.
  • Develops Channel-specific Sales Playbooks that deliver customer facing content to the Sales and Client Management organization.
  • Identifies specific best practices and cascades learning across the Sales and Client Management organizations.
  • Supports launch of sales asset management technology and cross-Channel content strategy for TR Legal.

Channel Communications – Develops custom communications and deploys tactics that are aligned with the Channel’s communication strategies and objectives.

  • Maintains publication schedule and works with content contributors to write/publish bi-weekly Channel newsletters.
  • Delivers information using advanced communication techniques and tools including intranet sites, video and WebEx.
  • Strategic Analysis - Monitors and tracks effectiveness of Channel communications programs to ensure alignment with Channel communications strategies and business goals. Pulls reports and data from business systems as needed; analyzes data and reports results.
  • Works with the Manager and Director of Communications and Sales Enablement on event/meeting planning, including Mid-Year and Annual Sales Meetings.

Manages multiple projects simultaneously with skill, attention to detail, tenacity, and a focus on results.

Demonstrates strong project management and presentation skills.

Education and Experience:

Four-year college degree in business, marketing or communications; MBA or JD preferred

3 to 5 years of related marketing, communications, sales and/or sales training experience

Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, WebEx or virtual meeting technology, and Intranet/Web page design

Previous experience with communications technology, graphic design programs, video equipment and video editing software preferred

Proven project management experience

Knowledge and Skills:

Understands Thomson Reuters Legal business and legal market in order to ensure communications and sales enablement programs meet Channel and customer needs.

Strong analytical skills; ability to understand and work with data

Highly collaborative individual with proven ability to work well in a matrix organization and effectively manage across boundaries

Ability to drive projects and plans with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent oral and written communication abilities and exceptional organizational skills
