Reuters is seeking a skilled research analyst to join a three-person team supporting content around the company.
The three-person team of analysts, located in Bangalore, is working to devise and popularize new trading and investment ideas for a global professional audience using unique Thomson Reuters data sets. The successful candidate will be a logical thinker with a strong background in fundamental analysis, finance and accounting. Technical analysis is also a plus. S/he will be able to apply quant ideas across sectors and asset classes.
The successful candidate will cover companies across Asia and will partner closely with Reuters journalists, contributing frequently to news stories. S/he will have daily exposure to the Reuters News division, including direct counsel from senior editors. Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
The research analyst will build timely market conclusions from multiple Thomson Reuters data sets such as Eikon , Datastream and Thomson One. S/he will acquire and present relevant and accurate data to correspondents across Asia and will be able to analyze data in creative ways to generate story ideas. The successful candidate will be able to work on breaking stories, utilizing the many tools at his or her disposal, and will respond quickly and accurately to requests from journalists across Asia. S/he will also conceive data-driven story ideas and be proactive in pitching these ideas to reporters and editors. A strong work ethic and adherence to deadlines is a must.
Required Skills and Experience:
The analyst will mostly work during the Indian day, but must be open to early morning starts to overlap with trading hours of overseas exchanges.
