Business Development Representative (BDR) Program prepares candidates for an exciting and rewarding sales career in the highly competitive legal arena. This program provides hands-on experience sourcing and qualifying leads while building product knowledge and sales skills. We are looking to hire our next superstar sales representative or account manager in order to accelerate and grow talent from within. We promote successful graduates from our BDR program into a role within the sales organization which provides increased earning potential. You will get the best of both worlds – training and autonomy. The program provides a unique, hands-on learning opportunity that will help give you a competitive edge early in your career

Outcomes:

  • Ability to prospect and create net new demand within specific GTM. Expectation is to create between 15 to 30 new sales opportunities depending on product and go to market.
  • Complete and average 70 calls a day.
  • Interacting by phone and email with key personnel up to, and including, C-level executives
  • Work cooperatively with Sales Manager and Sales/Account Executives
  • Maintain professional conduct and represent Thomson Reuters well with proper internal and external communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

BA/BS degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Intelligent, motivated, and competitive, with a “roll-up-the-sleeves” and “get the job done” attitude

Well-rounded individual with varied interests and experience

Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills (outgoing and personable)

Detailed description & job requirements:

First contact for prospects of TR business via outbound calls.

Qualifies TR prospects and produces quality leads for the TR Sales Force.

Acts as the first contact for many prospects in TR business via outbound calls.

Qualifies TR prospects and produces quality leads for the TR Sales Force.

Performs database and record keeping activities.

0-2 years work experience.

Able to demonstrate time management, basic telesales skills, and knowledge of Thomson Reuters products and services (training provided).

Goal oriented individual with superior communication skills.

Able to complete individual goals as well as work in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate using technical concepts.

Working knowledge of Salesforce a plus but not necessary.

Professional demeanor.

Desire for a long-term career in sales.

Able to gain competence in own area and acquire a higher level understanding of role, processes, and procedures.
