Project Manager - Sales Operations

Job Description

OVERVIEW:

This role provides project management, analytical, and CRM support to the Elite sales channel. The Project Manager supports the Elite sales management team and broader Sales Operations team with sales, activity, and pipeline tracking and analytics to help drive insights for use by management. The role will also be responsible for assisting the Director, Sales Operations with business policy/procedural process improvement. Additionally, The Project Manager will be the main point of contact as it relates to ongoing CRM / Salesforce.com initiatives and enhancements and represent the Elite business in the broader project. This role also drives some event coordination, as needed. This person reports to the Director of Elite Sales Operations, and works closely with field sales management to ensure all sales objectives are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and format moderately complex reports, presentations, and correspondence using multiple software packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for internal meetings and customer events 
  • Pull various reports and pipeline data from business systems; analyze data and report results
  • Work in partnership with Sales Operations team to identify process improvement initiatives as identified
  • Represent Elite on the broader Salesforce.com project, ensuring the businesses requirements and needs are presented
  • Provide event assistance which includes following up with clients, coordinate logistics and coordination of materials
  • Assist with tracking expenses, budgets, incentives and invoices. Reconcile statements and escalate discrepancies where appropriate. Interface with appropriate individuals to ensure resolution
  • Assist broader Sales Operations team with project work, including Salesforce.com implementation

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years previous work experience in an analyst or sales operations role 
  • Experience with Salesforce.com desired
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Exposure to sales and/or client management workflow preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing initiatives and project management experience
  • Ability to travel as needed. (estimates at 10%)
  • Prior experience supporting a large sales organization, preferred 

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to apply knowledge; creativity to resolve complex client issues, improving service offerings
  • Strong analytical skills/good with data. Can provide insight and diagnose root cause issues when analyzing reports and other financial data
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast paced work environment 
  • Excellent MS Office skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relations with key stakeholders
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make appropriate decisions based on knowledge of business objectives
  • Confident, helpful, customer-oriented presence required
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and internal and external clients
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with attention to detail, and ability to work on many tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • High level of enthusiasm for the job, strong initiative, able to work without direct supervision 
  • Perform special projects, which may include analysis of data, finding necessary resources, and making recommendations
