Job Description
Thomson Reuters- Senior Correspondent We are seeking a versatile reporter to lead our Santiago bureau covering everything from this year’s presidential election, to copper and lithium mining, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.  The Chile senior correspondent will lead a team of five or English and Spanish language journalists delivering exclusive news  and insight on Latin America’s most developed economy at a time its widely replicated free-market economic model is being questioned by Chileans demanding better health care, education and pensions. The successful candidate will write across the file, with a nose for company news in particular, and enjoy a high quality of life near the beach and the Andes mountains. As part of the South Latin America bureau, there will be ample opportunity to help cover Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina and Peru. This is an ideal job for someone looking to broaden their responsibilities from reporting into management, and good organizational skills are essential to make sure the bureau is ready to cover natural disasters in the world’s top copper producer.  Spanish is a must.
