Job Description

The Asia Pacific Loans Market Analyst is responsible for the maintenance of the database administration and sourcing of the Financial Markets exchange and contributed data. He will also support other staff, or own the contributor relationship between the company and the local exchange, contributor or data supplier for day to day operations. The analyst will also be responsible for ensuring that relevant data is maintained and delivered in an accurate and timely manner.  This role is required for the collection and inputting of Asia-Pacific loans content.  In addition to production work, the role also requires engagement with contributors (including bank lenders) as well analytical skills for the production of value add analysis. ·        Collect loan data for the Asia Pacific market from sources and ensure that the information is appropriately processed in the Thomson Reuters database of records. ·       

  • Ensure timely, thorough and accurate collection and input of loan content into the database of records. ·       
  • Engage with market sources, league table contacts and contributor relations contacts to clarify and enhance data collection. ·       
  • Ensure timely and complete resolution of queries from internal and external stakeholders. ·       
  • Work closely with counterparts from other locations: New York, Gdynia, London, Hong Kong and Japan. ·       
  • Develop expertise in data-related issues. ·       
  • Maximize usage of development tools/support to maintain/improve content quality.        
  • Support specific projects, as assigned by manager.  ·       

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Financial Management. ·       
  • High-level of translation skill from Mandarin to English and vice versa (both written and oral). ·       
  • Knowledge of finance is a key asset (although not a prerequisite). ·       
  • Skill to manage databases via Microsoft Access as well as writing skills. ·        Proficient in Microsoft Excel. ·       
  • Strong interpersonal skill and attention to detail. ·       
  • Ability to work in a team environment, yet maintain professional integrity and composure while communicating difficult subjects. ·       
  • Well developed analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and develop solutions. ·       
  • Self motivated and willing to take responsibility for himself. ·       
  • Quick learner and should display high level of agility. ·       
  • Willingness to undertake additional projects and responsibilities from time to time. ·       
  • Must be able to work under pressure; can manage multiple tasks and flexible to work extended hours depending upon business requirements. ·       
  • Flexible in shift schedule and can work during holidays.
