About the role

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Tax & Accounting division.  In this client focused role, you will drive the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and development of Thomson Reuters’ Knowledge Solutions suite of products.

The Knowledge Solutions suite of Products consist of a full range of online information, research and certified professional education (CPE) tools for Tax & Accounting, Audit and Corporate Finance professionals.

This role will involve a blend of product and business GTM execution, stakeholder management and customer service to existing clients (who can include small accounting firms to large corporations).

The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute, technology savvy relationship builder, with a good understanding of Tax & Accounting knowledge to confidently discuss tax issues with our clients.

Key Duties

Reporting to the Director, Product Management, your key duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Proactively explore opportunities to improve sales channels for the Knowledge Solutions content portfolio with new titles and bundles
  • Identify and execute on key strategic goals of the Knowledge Solutions portfolio set out in your go to market which captures the value of the portfolio
  • Work with tax Writers on delivering up to date content to meet deadlines for your portfolio
  • Quarterly reporting of Product GTM to ANZ Business
  • Keeping your focus on customers and their consumption patterns of content
  • Servicing existing customers to a high level both from content delivery and tax technical standpoint

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced professional with 2-5 years of experience working in a commercial enterprise and have a keen interest and/or an understanding of Tax & Accounting (to be an effective product manager to our clients). We are also open to applications with little to no knowledge of Tax & Accounting, provided you are willing to learn.

You will be a confident communicator, able to present to small and large audiences and work effectively in a team and complex corporate environment .You will be resourceful, curious and willing to challenge and propose new, innovative ways of thinking.

You will also bring the following to the role:

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Account, Tax or a related field
  • Industry affiliation with ICAA, CPA or another professional body (highly regarded, but not essential)
  • Knowledge of the Australian Taxation Law landscape (preferred, but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters or other tax software (advantageous)
