Client Technical Specialist

Job Description

As a Client Technical Specialist at FindLaw, the main focus of the role is working directly with customers and external contacts to manage domains and email, providing expert technical advice and problem solving, and delivering excellent daily service on the phone and via email. You will be in touch with new and existing customers, external IT staff, registrars, hosting companies, email providers, and internal business partners to troubleshoot and solve domain, DNS repoint, redirect, and email issues. Providing fantastic customer service and building great technical customer relationships is a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Domain and DNS administration, including repoints, redirects, procuring new domains, and ownership transfers
  • Email setup and administration, including email software and mobile device setup
  • Explanation of complex, technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Troubleshooting of technical and non-technical issues for customers
  • Providing fantastic service and building great relationships with customers and internal partners
  • Management of multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Other duties as assigned, including after hours support

Experience

  • 4 years of experience in a position involving extensive direct contact with customers and/or technical contacts
  • 2 years of experience working with web-based products and services
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • A demonstrated passion for pleasing the customer, continual self-improvement, and the belief that there’s a better way
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time and priority management skills, project management skills, customer service skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to collaborate across boundaries and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with current and emerging internet and web infrastructure technologies, including domains, DNS, HTTPS, email, and content delivery networks (CDNs)
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, and web security concepts is a plus

Education

  • 2- or 4-year college degree
