Reuters is seeking an Editorial Events Program Lead/Producer to create and manage execution of editorial events including programming for its Newsmakers live interview platform.  Reuters Newsmakers bring global experts, CEOs and government leaders together in conversation with senior Reuters journalists in front of live audiences at locations throughout the world. The Program Lead/Producer will work directly with Reuters Global Head of PR and Communications and Reuters journalists to conceive of and deliver programming – from ideation to execution. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on a diverse number of elements, including, but not limited to the following:

  • Work cohesively with Reuters reporters and editors to anticipate salient interview subjects and themes in a variety of industries: finance, technology, politics, entertainment, etc.
  • Book high-profile speakers for one-on-one interviews or panel discussions in a variety of locations around the world
  • Coordinate filming with Reuters Video producers, RVN and Broadcast Solutions
  • Liaise with Corporate Events to oversee venue and related logistical considerations
  • Collaborate with Reuters PR and Marketing teams to promote and merchandize Newsmakers and other editorial events
  • Oversee and regularly update the Newsmakers webpage

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Superb editorial judgment;
  • Professional experience booking high-profile guests;
  • Proven track record in delivering measurable results;
  • An understanding of news, finance and tech and how they may intersect;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities;
  • Strong writing skills;
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as collaborative member of a team;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Live event production or broadcast experience a plus;
  • Global experience a plus.
