Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Reuters Video News is looking for a dynamic Sports Producer based in our international video production hub in Mexico City. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the global sports agenda and will work closely with the Television Sports desks in London and Washington. Responsibilities will include editing highlights from a variety of sporting events, producing high quality agency and online sports news stories and write flawless shot lists and scripts in a timely manner. The position requires good news judgment and the ability to handle several stories simultaneously. Written English to a native standard is essential, as is experience and interest in news and current affairs. We are looking for someone who will be actively involved with the rest of the team, generate story ideas and think creatively about sourcing pictures, including from social media. Willingness to be flexible on hours/shift patterns, including nightshift work if required.
