Product: FATCA / CRS
FATCA (“Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act”) is a piece of legislation enacted by the United States. It requires non-US financial institutions such as banks to disclose to the IRS details of accounts they maintain for US account holders – the aim being for the IRS to be able to identify individuals and companies that might be evading tax and take appropriate action against them. CRS (“Common Reporting Standard”) is a forthcoming global initiative that will allow all participating countries’ tax authorities to share this kind of data with each other.
The Thomson Reuters FATCA / CRS solution is a web-based software product licensed by financial institutions around the world to assist them in complying with these requirements. The product platform consists of a SQL Server database; a website (written in PHP and .NET); and various other .NET components. Clients integrate with the software using flat file CSV imports, web services and proprietary API’s.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
The Implementation Analyst will report into the Implementation Manager and will work closely with other members of the wider FATCA / CRS product team (Product Management, Development, QA, Support and Sales).
