The candidate will be responsible for ensuring Thomson Reuters delivers an excellent network solution and experience for both Thomson Reuters and our customer base within the Americas.<br/><br/>The position within the team requires working with Thomson Reuters&#8217; communications partners and vendors, and providing support to internal departments. A multi-faceted role that requires relationship management, service management, technical understanding and detailed knowledge of telecom delivery and assurance processes. The Continual Service Improvement Manager will also act as an escalation path for networking service assurance and service delivery issues from internal teams and vendors. <br/><br/>In a service improvement capacity the role is responsible for ensuring Thomson Reuters telecommunications partner is delivering orders and repairing faults within agreed service levels and operational agreements. Our objective is to improve overall network performance in order to improve and enhance the Thomson Reuters customer experience. Potentially, this role may require some time spent travelling, although not guaranteed.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities</b><br/>- Service Improvement:<br/>- Continually measure and report supplier performance to promote service improvements in supplier, infrastructure, processes, etc. to increase efficiency, effectiveness and cost effectiveness<br/>- Act as a regional escalation point into Thomson Reuters network vendors for key stakeholders and internal teams for service assurance and delivery issues that cannot be resolved through the agreed business as usual support and escalation paths<br/>- Act as a regional escalation point for networking/telecom issues preventing smooth cutover to the MPLS and other new network, including Next Generation Networks<br/>- Where requested by the BC&O Global Service team, attend Incident Control Center (ICC) calls for major and business critical network outages in region, to ensure network vendor has appropriate level of escalation, urgency, and responsiveness to address the issue.<br/>- Coordinate regional complex problem resolution and recommend solutions for the Americas region, consulting with global or other regions where appropriate in order to ensure global alignment.<br/>- Responsible for owning and reporting Network Service Forum service impacting issues, including incident details, root cause analysis and remedial actions for last mile and network access issues.<br/>- Responsible for all follow-up problem management work and remedial actions to prevent recurrence of service issue, specific to region<br/>- Assist in preparation and attend regular Americas Service Review with Thomson Reuters contractual communications partners. Ensure SLAs are met and raise actions regarding specific orders or more general regional service concerns<br/>- Attend regular service reviews with key vendors, for example last mile and carrier hotel vendors, to review performance against SLA.
