Excellent oral and presentation skills are therefore needed to succeed. AMs should also be able to build strong networks both in and outside of their organizations, with the ability to engage with prospects at a senior level. <br/>- <b>Questioning and qualification - </b>The AM will prospect senior tax (and in some cases finance and IT) executives and perform a detailed qualification of leads within their territory to uncover clients&#8217; issues. This will require a high degree of self motivation and effective time management. The role will also involve periodic attendance at trade shows, representing the organisation professionally and managing the timely follow up of all leads. <br/>- <b>Client interaction - </b>The AM will organise and attend client meetings striving to challenge current thinking in order to deliver unique propositions. <item><title>Associate Editor Job (Toronto, ON, CA)</title><description><![CDATA[<b>Title:</b>Associate Editor<br/><b>ID:</b>ADM00005622<br/><br/></b><b>Description</b><br/><br/><b>Date Posted:</b> April 9, 2013<br/><br/><b>Department</b>: Media<br/><br/><b>Location:</b> 2075 Kennedy Road - Toronto<br/><br/><b>Associate Editor</b><br/><br/>(1-year contract)<br/><br/><b>Purpose:</b><br/><br/>As Associate Editor, you will be an integral part of the editorial team, with key responsibilities in the areas of accuracy and timely completion of the magazine. <br/><br/><b> </b><br/><br/><b>Your duties will include:</b><br/><br/>&middot; compiling, organizing, editing and fact-checking all submissions for Lexpert&#8217;s &#8220;Big Deals, Big Suits and Moves&#8221; section to meet readership needs, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and a high standard of editorial content;<br/><br/>&middot; completing deals database requirements;<br/><br/>&middot; proofreading, checking and correcting spelling, grammar, continuity, computer codes, word breaks and adherence to style standards to ensure a high quality product is produced;<br/><br/>&middot; updating website;<br/><br/>&middot; writing weekly posts for the Lexpert Blog;<br/><br/>&middot; providing research support for Lexpert editorial projects, including Top Ten Deals, Zenith awards, Rising Stars awards and the Dealmakers awards<br/><br/>&middot; copy-editing magazine articles and reviewing final proofs; helping ensure the production process is completed in a timely and efficient manner;<br/><br/>&middot; reviewing and copy-editing other Lexpert materials as required; and<br/><br/>&middot; building contacts and relationships with key sources, including the art & production, copy-editing and editorial teams, as well as major law firms, to produce quality content for the website and magazine.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications</b><br/><br/><b>You will be a strong team player and will possess:</b><br/><br/>&middot; a college degree or university in Liberal Arts, Communications or Journalism;<br/><br/>&middot; commitment to quality, editorial, website and publishing excellence and best practices;<br/><br/>&middot; outstanding editing skills with impeccable attention to detail;<br/><br/>&middot; superior organizational skills, diplomacy and the ability to meet tight deadlines are a must; <br/><br/>&middot; well-developed interpersonal skills for developing contacts and building relationships with others;<br/><br/>&middot; outgoing, self-motivated initiator who welcomes and invites input from others;<br/><br/>&middot; the ability to handle challenges and deadlines calmly;<br/><br/>&middot; excellent time management skills; capable of executing multiple projects concurrently; and<br/><br/>&middot; PC skills - Microsoft Office, database, coding and other online computer skills.<br/><br/>At Carswell, our environment is both challenging and supportive &#8211; we give employees the opportunity to develop their skills and do their best work &#8211; and we are proud to have been named one of Canada&#8217;s Top 100 Employers from 2009 &#8211; 2013 as well as one of the Best Workplaces from 2006 &#8211; 2012.
