The specialist will engage with new sales prospects and existing customers that include the corporate law or IP departments of large and mid-size companies, as well as law firms specializing in IP practice, or large law firms with substantial IP departments within the firm. <br/><br/>The Senior Sales Specialist is to represent Thomson Reuters in high level industry conferences and exhibitions as thought leader, identify, engage key opinion leaders in Intellectual Property related sector and build market awareness in emerging IP hubs in the Asia region such as Hong Kong and Singapore. <br/><br/>This position is responsible for revenue generation, delivery and identifying new business ideas to support Thomson Reuters growth in Asia. <br/><br/><b>Internal partners</b>: The position will work closely with regional teams, sales teams and Implementation teams (from US, Germany and Asia Pacific region)<br/><br/><b>Success Metrics</b>: The key success metrics of this position are<br/>- Develop new business opportunities for Thomson Reuters IP Asset Management solution portfolio in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and South East Asia.<br/>- Develop new leads and consultative partnerships with IP Management and corporate technology departments at IP Centric enterprises and IP Law firms<br/>- Demonstrate ability to lead and manage successfully in a matrix and remote management environment <br/><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br/><br/>The key responsibilities of the role are:<br/>- <b>Source new business (required to meet business development target)</b><br/>- Tap into network of new and existing customers and engage with senior business leaders and key decision makers of IP Management division.<br/>- Liaise with marketing and come up with creative approaches to raise market awareness of the Thomson Reuters IP Management suite of products and services<br/>- <b>Qualify business opportunities and develop winning proposals</b><br/>- Engage, Investigate and understand client requirements<br/>- Work with global and regional teams to build proposals with both commercial and technical recommendations<br/>- <b>Project management (PM) and delivery</b> <br/>- Lead and manage end to end product delivery lifecycle <br/>- Develop PM schedule outlining the full project life cycle, and induct key delivery stakeholders (i.e. Project team) into the process<br/>- Ensure successful delivery of often complex cross border implementations<br/><br/><b>Qualifications</b><br/><br/> <b>Qualifications</b><br/>- BS/BA preferably with a business, technical or international concentration.<br/>- Seven plus years of large and complex sales/specialist experience with a demonstrated and consistent record of goal attainment, plus a minimum of two years of sales management in a complex selling environment.<br/>- Excellent knowledge of corporate and law firm IP Management workflows. Ability to discuss this with chief technology officers, IP Management officers, Legal and IP specialists at medium and large corporations<br/>- Proven record of major sales and new business development at the corporate general counsel and law firm partner level.<br/>- Familiarity with the patent annuity or trademark renewal processes helpful.<br/>- Well organized and disciplined regarding policy, procedures and standards.<br/>- Ability to identify and pursue opportunities in both a long and shorter term sales cycle.<br/>- Strong skills with presentations and negotiations.<br/><br/>At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
