This business facing role will support the News & Media Editorial business by providing information, analysis, and insight to help maximize both financial and operational objectives. The role requires a candidate who can provide both detailed financial analysis and establish close partnerships with General and Regional managers.

The Senior Financial Analyst role will be the key financial contact for the Television and Insider Video Groups. In addition to this, the Senior Financial Analyst will focus on supporting financial planning and analysis within Editorial and preparation of monthly and quarterly financial packages . A key element will be liaising with the business leads to track performance and ensure the accuracy and integrity of Editorial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the business partner to the General Managers and Regional Managers and Bureau Heads of Television and Insider
- Drive the quality of our internal customer support in order to track performance and expected performance to plan, identifying opportunities and risks
- Provide proactive financial support to General Managers, editorial finance and wider Editorial management team
- Develop budgets for business units working with General Managers and Business Heads, track performance to those budgets identifying significant pattern shifts and risks/opportunities as they emerge, and implications for costs
- Coordinate data gathering and input into reporting systems, work with Bangalore team to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency
- Assist in the monthly close process to ensure our financial records are stated properly
- Assist with monthly consolidations and report generation to both business units and Executive Leadership Team
- Provide Ad hoc financial analysis and financial modelling to support business objectives

Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant, CPA preferred. Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent, MBA a plus
- 3 - 5 years of financial analysis-related experience
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently or in a team environment and drive results; a self-starter and able to work with changing priorities and time pressures
- Strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to relate to all levels of management and both finance and non-finance staff
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills; ability to present complex data in a simplified and meaningful way
- Ability to apply knowledge and creativity to resolve standard and complex issues
- Experience with SAP, BEX and Cognos preferred, but not required, excellent Excel still a must
