Description

The Customer Support Executive is responsible for providing effective and courteous support to customers in relation to their Thomson Reuters’ product or service. This includes active focus on enquiry resolution, a positive customer focused attitude at all times and ensuring that all the necessary action is taken to resolve a customer’s enquiry.
- Respond to customers’ enquiries relating to information, product functionality and fault calls resolving as many queries as possible on the first interaction.
- Logging and classifying all calls and requests for assistance in the customer relationship management system (Siebel).
- Filter and escalate enquiries relating to other aspects of the Thomson Reuters business and handover to the appropriate department.
- Manage the resolution process for customers relating to data and applications for a particular product/s.
- Track enquiry resolution progress and proactively call customers with a status update or resolution if queries cannot be resolved on initial interaction.
- Follow the appropriate procedures to respond to issues and update our customers when outages of a major nature occur.
- Identify and escalate problems affecting a number of customers or influencing the timely resolution of one customer’s enquiry. This would include escalations to the team leader and other support, sales, engineering or resolver groups as appropriate.
- Recognise and escalate recurring problems, inferior processes or outdated procedures.
- Accept additional projects or areas of responsibility that will improve the team’s performance.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
Must know how to speak and write Korean language.
Fluency in the Engish language is essential.

Position Overview:
- We are seeking a dedicated team player to join as a new business prospector. Your objective is to generating qualified sales opportunities into a prospective client base, across several key virtual channels.
- Activity will primarily be concentrated into the Indian market, with some overlap into other South Asian markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contacting and qualifying prospects to deliver highly qualified leads that will be distributed and tracked to the Thomson Reuters Sales organisation.
- Qualification and follow up inbound leads coming from different sources, including but not limited to thomsonreuters.com, referrals, events and partners.
- Execution of long-term lead nurturing programmes.
- Reporting and analysis of the prospect base for gap analysis and opportunity identification.

Qualifications

Required knowledge & skills:
- Excellent communication skills and persuasive sales ability.
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of the financial industry.
- One year business to business telephone experience (highly advantageous).
- Business grade Korean (written and spoken)
- Fluent English
Suitable candidates will:
- Have the ability to cold call and identify high end opportunities and key decision makers.
- Book appointments for BDMs to have face-to-face meetings with new prospects.
- Engage in a friendly and authoritative communication style

The Tax & Accounting business unit of Thomson Reuters provides direct and indirect tax software solutions to the global corporate market. It is the leading provider of tax compliance software in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand. The business is investing heavily in building the Tax & Accounting business within the Asia Pacific region.

Job Summary:

Thomson Reuters develops a number of global tax technology products within the ONESOURCE suite which collectively assist tax professionals in the management of tax related activities including, but not limited to:
Compliance, transfer pricing, provisioning, workflow management and research. Thomson Reuters software is primarily used by large, listed corporations and professional services firms.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

Firstly you will be responsible for representing Thomson Reuters indirect tax software solutions in Asia Pacific. This will involve working with talented regional and global teams in activities including pre-sales, marketing, product development, implementation and support. Your practical experience and understanding of indirect taxes will be critical for this work.

Secondly you will assist in defining, scoping, initiating and managing small to medium tax projects of moderate risk and complexity that are vital in supporting the company to meet its objectives. The typical project lifespan is 3-12 months and projects generally involve cross-jurisdictional teams. Projects will involve the implementation of tax software solutions, not necessarily restricted to indirect taxes, to professional services firms (typically Big 4 firms) and large multi-national corporations in Asia Pacific.

The role will involve occasional international travel. Training will be provided.

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities:

Building the indirect tax business
- Supporting business development managers in identification and pursuit of new opportunities in Asia Pacific
- Demonstrating tax software solutions to prospective clients in meetings and via web conference
- Understanding clients’ needs and relating those needs to features in the software
- Preparing proposals and contract deliverables
Implementing indirect tax solutions
- Working with sales, service and software development teams in scoping, planning, implementing and supporting the rollout of indirect tax software solutions to regional clients
- Ensuring clients’ smooth transition onto Thomson Reuters software solutions
- Providing product training
Managing projects
- Managing multiple small-medium projects of indirect tax and other solutions
- Assisting in defining business requirements, project scope and managing change control
- Identifying, assessing and managing project risks
- Assisting in development of project documentation (e.g. Statements of work, cost estimates, resource estimates, project plans, scope documents, risk logs, time/cost management reports, status reports)
- Assisting in project communications, both internally and to clients
Secondary responsibilities:
- Representing the Thomson Reuters business at tax conferences
- Developing and maintaining close relationships with prospects and existing clients
- Providing input in strategic and research activities
- Performing testing of indirect tax software to validate the regional tax content
- Coaching and developing members of the services team be able to take on parts of the implementation process
- Providing functional support of indirect tax software to clients

Qualifications

The candidate will have at least 5+ years of professional experience and should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, services focused and bring the following skills to the role:
- Fluency in English, secondary language skills preferred (eg, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese)
- Experience with the large accounting firms (Big 4) or tax authorities
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Practical experience in indirect tax (GST/VAT) compliance or advisory, ideally supported by a professional qualification
- Knowledge in global or regional indirect tax regimes and their differences will be a strong plus
- Basic understanding of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft) will be a strong plus
- Experience or understanding other types of taxes (Eg. Transfer Pricing, Corporate Tax) would be beneficial
- Adept in using technology and recognition of value of software automation
- Experience managing projects, in particular of software solutions in-house or as a third party provider
- Experience and proven success in client facing activities
- Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear and concise documentation
- Proactive and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel and work varied hours to accommodate meetings with teams from other time zones
