Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor or MS degree in MIS, Computer Science, or other related field

Required Skills:
- 4+ years testing work experiences in and end to end test cycle

Within Thomson Reuters, the Management Information Systems (MIS) organization is a shared, central resource. IP & Science’s VP, Business Systems, Operations and Processes will be required to operate in a highly matrixed organization. Thus, the ability to influence shared resources in the following areas of Thomson Reuters will be critical:
- MIS
- SAP OTC (One Vision) & other shared program teams
- Finance Operations (Order Fulfillment, invoicing, accounts receivable, cash applications, master data, etc.)

In addition to collaborating with the TR shared resources, this role will also have to closely coordinate with shared functions within IP & Science, such as:
- Sales Operations, Planning & Strategy
- Technology (Product Development)
- Customer Service (Support)
- Marketing, who manages the Enterprise Data Warehouse

This leader will have to work with IP & Science’s decentralized business teams to understand and address impacts of recommended changes, including process, system and organizational impacts.

This role will also lead centralized teams for:
- Pricing – develop common tools, guidelines and policies for pricing to ensure, a consistent pricing approach and methodology across the businesses
- Decision Support – develop and lead a team of analysts to provide standardized enterprise reporting, analytics and metrics for the Opportunity-to-Order (OTO) and OTC areas of the business as well as revenue analytics
- Legacy Deferred Revenue – Manage the process for the recording of and analytics needed for legacy deferred revenue from the legacy OTC systems. This includes ensuring that necessary journal entries and adjustments are prepared timely and accurately. Close coordination with IP & Science FP&A and the centralized Accounting Operations groups will be required.




MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:


- Proactively partner with applicable TR centralized resources to develop a comprehensive roadmap of business systems to drive organic and acquisitive revenue for IP & Science
- Also, maintain and manage roadmap of improvement programs
- Successful deployments of agreed-upon business systems
- Partner with various businesses to implement necessary business process changes to support new or enhanced business systems
- Inform key stakeholders of project deliverables, key milestones and timeframes.
- Work with business teams and technical teams to understand and address impacts of recommended changes, including organizational and system impacts
- Partner with business leaders, MIS, Technology and other colleagues to assess business systems of acquired companies
- Develop integration plans and execute
- Lead the prioritization of maintenance, support and new releases, providing functionality to meet the needs of the business and ensure the stability, availability, and reliability of the business systems
- Develop centralized Pricing strategy and team, aligned with OneVision
- Manage the development of pricing policies and related governance to effectively align pricing across IP&S. Drive key decisions to align pricing models and tools where appropriate, for sales reps to use and that integrate with SAP.
The role will require 15-20% travel.

Job Duties:
- Provide leadership and vision to the Video team by developing yearly and quarterly plans, and regularly update F&R ELT with evaluation and progress on plans
- Lead a cross functional team of 30-40 resources including contractors and employees
- Evaluate the emerging digital landscape and provide product and technical direction to the video team
- Innovate and introduce new ideas. Leverage prototypes and working code as needed to sell the concept

- Oversee second generation digital video player design and development and decisions around streaming protocols
- Lead creation of API based toolkit for clients to use so that they can easily integrate Reuters Insider into their product offering using a set of APIs, webservices and embed players
- Evolve Javascript based player and playlist embed code for client use

- Leverage Agile methodology (a simplified version of RUP) for product development

- Work with technology team on initiating, managing, deploying and supporting multiple development iterations simultaneously
- Provide expertise to technology team in scoping out interface and integrations with other Thomson Reuters products eg Street Events, Messenger etc. Lead reporting integration/interface development with client systems as well as for key partners like Corporate Services (Nasdaq). Lead and conduct tests for such integrations/interfaces.
- Manage Reuters Insider/Video Product line as a business. Oversee preparation of annual budget and manage Costs within the agreed upon budget. Agree with global sales on annual sales targets and regularly follow-up. Grow/Improve the product bottom line on a year on year basis. Drive editorial, technology, marketing, client support, product and third party partner teams towards F&R Reuters Insider/Video goals.
- Lead gathering and analysis of requirements by conduct formal and informal VOC(Voice of Customer) conferences, guided by adoption data. Convert process maps into use cases, user stories and scenarios. Hold end-to-end responsibility for feature/function prioritization.
- Monitor application performance and uptime. Manage Service Levels as agreed upon with clients.
- Ensure that all clients (paid and contributors) requests are being addressed in a timely manner. Study current processes and applications and suggest modifications to improve quality and reliability
- Implement reporting mechanisms to drive a data driven vision. Monitor weekly data and reports.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- Experience of using TFS

- 2+ years of programming experience in Windows/ web application development using .Net framework, ASP.Net, VB.NET, C#, ADO.Net, MS QL Server, Java.

Provide project/program management on highly complex Thomson Reuters programs. This role will be responsible for project managing the successful and timely delivery of one or more work streams of this key multi-faceted business process improvement program. Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor degree required in Business, Technology, or Operations Management or similar field. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- PMP certification preferred or thorough knowledge and demonstrated execution of project management methodology including documentation.
- 7 years of experience with 5+ years of project management experience working in a large organization with cross-functional global teams.
