- Critical thinking and decision-making skills in order to satisfy requests by internal/external customer skills related to methodological issues/concerns in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment
- Assistance of team members in the creation of contract renewal packages
- Growth of business knowledge consistent with current industry standards and trends
- Input of data (as needed) into database
- Contact for internal and external inquiries related to client projects
- Final quality control checks on completed projects, as needed

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for Lipper’s 24x7 Oracle, Sybase and MSSQL database services. This requires in-depth Sybase T-SQL & database administrator skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage Lipper’s databases hosted multiple data centers

Participate in 24/7 On call rotation. Production database services 24 hours a day seven days a week.

Provide database services that are highly available and reliable, as measured by mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR).

Apply database changes on a schedule basis.

Install & Patch database as needed. (Oracle & Sybase)

Resolve problems in a timely manner according to SLAs.

Performance Tuning of databases ( Query Tuning, Disk Tuning and system optimization)

Application trouble shooting from the database layer. Includes PL/SQL & T-SQL troubleshooting.

Responsible for backup & recovery of database services.
Knowledgeable of Oracle & Sybase Security best practices.

Position Overview:

The role forms part of the Americas Product Management team and will provide front line FFS product support to the sales team in the US initially, expanding to the wider Americas as the G&M integration takes hold.

Lipper's FFS team manages the pricing, development, testing, support and ongoing delivery of Lipper Fund Fact Sheets. This role will also involve support of any on-line components of wider Lipper Hosted Solution deals.
The US FFS business since 2008 had almost doubled by the end of last year and for 2012 is tracking +57% compared to 2011. The product has moved from revenue of $0.8k to a forecast of $2.6m by the end of this year. Add to this a further $2m from the G&M Mutual Funds Business proposition we will be soon looking at a $5m product to support.

Essential Day- to-Day responsibilities:
- Meeting with clients & prospects to understand their business needs
- Quoting prices via the sales team
- Translating needs into specifications
- Managing the final delivery of the solution
- Dealing with ongoing client enquiries that pertain to the actual product
- Managing, testing and delivering new factsheets - from proposal to delivery

Additional Information:

During the 11th to the 15th business day this is the busiest time after month end and quarter end. The role includes a design aspect, comprehensive understanding of content and significant client interaction.
