Analyst - Benchmark Content Production

Job Description

Business Unit: Financial & Risk Customer Operations, Content and Insight, Benchmark Content Operations.

Product or Service: Oversight and support of the daily polling of panel banks for Benchmarks and the distribution of Benchmark data.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a due diligent, professional and motivated individual to be an analyst within our highly successful and crucial Benchmark Content Production team.  You will be a global point of contact for all Benchmark data issues and you will have a wide range of interactions with various groups across the organization.  You will have the opportunity to build and maintain good working relationships with the panel banks, Administrators and Associations.  You will be a key part of the team and vital in ensuring the on-going growth of the benchmark business.

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Point of contact from across the business to be involved with enhancements, projects, client escalations.
  • Utilise front-to-back technology and systems to perform benchmark publications and monitoring tasks
  • An integral role in Problem Management processes: Incident Management; TRT’s; Communication and Escalations as per Regulatory requirements; Service restoration; PIR’s.
  • Oversight and support of the daily polling of panel banks.
  • A key client facing content resolver group.
  • Compiling reports to Administrators and Financial Associations.
  • To ensure an efficient flow of contributed, fed and dealt data to the real-time network.
  • To respond to internal and external client queries.
  • Maintain the integrity of historical records.
  • Diligent and able to Work within a regulated space that requires high standards of work with an understanding of existing, and planned, regulatory requirements (i.e. IOSCO, EU Benchmark Regulations).
  • To perform additional tasks within the team to maintain Thomson Reuters benchmark data.
  • Assist effectively during Service Incidents/Outages, and be engage in the IRT process and assisting in data recovery across data-sets.
  • Support the Operations Metrics and Quality assurance role, providing data, analysis and mitigations for senior management dashboard.

Key Relationships:

You will be liaising and building up good working relationships with the following:

  • System and application developers.
  • Benchmark Operations Business Analysts.
  • Core Collections team.
  • Incident Service Managers.
  • Service & Communications team.
  • Front line owners and resolver groups.
  • Benchmark Surveillance group.
  • Supporting Senior and Lead analysts.

Essential skills/Experience Required:

  • Microsoft Excel – good knowledge and experience (of benefit to include live data add-ins).
  • Good standard of communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels of the organisation and to external stakeholders.
  • An understanding of Money Markets to include: Repo’s, BA’s, Spot FX.
  • High attention to detail and proficient worker.
  • The ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other groups around the globe.
  • The aptitude to learn new processes quickly and absorb information promptly
  • Understanding of MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint etc).
  • Microsoft outlook – Good level of knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel Macros.

Desired Skills/Good to have:

  • An understanding of IOSCO and MAR-8, plus knowledge of MIFID II and EU BMR rules and implications in terms of Benchmarks.
  • Compliance skills: ability to comprehend and apply regulation to real-life facts; risk assessment capabilities.
  • Knowledge of JIRA.
  • Knowledge of SalesForce.

Education/ Certifications:

  • Desirable: Minimum 2 A Levels.
