Position: Assistant Manager, Technology Development
Directly reporting to Technology Assistant Director
The Technology Department is responsible for the development and operations of Web/mobile-based products developed and sold by Westlaw Japan K.K. Those products are built upon global software assets owned by our corporate group. Further, the Technology Department develops and operates programs for processing various data and the Content Management System (CMS) that support our products; performs tests and quality control of our products; and responds to technical inquiries from other departments.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for various managerial and operational tasks relating to (but not limited to): supporting Department Head; grasping the progress status of all tasks handled by all members in the Technology Department, while coordinating with other team members, Contents Development Department, sections that propose specifications, relevant overseas departments and sections in charge of infrastructure; ensuring that all projects in progress are smoothly promoted and achieved in accordance with fixed schedules and costs; and responding to technical inquiries from the Customer Support Center, the Sales Department, etc.
