Job Description

The successful candidate will manage, or co-manage Financial Trade Documentation (FTD) projects for large investment banks, as well as supporting organizations with reviewing, summarizing and analysing financial documents (like ISDA, CSA etc.).

The role entails working for financial institutions and large investment banks, supporting the firm’s equity derivatives and prime services businesses. In addition to this, the person will also be expected to lead projects from several other sectors including real estate, telecom, healthcare, pharma, energy, media or manufacturing. The person must possess strong interpersonal skills and will be required to have extensive client management experience to be able to lead multiple client engagements.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and analysing clauses from the ISDA MA/ CSA, Prime Brokerage and ancillary agreements for our client’s OTC and Prime Services business.
  • Subject-matter knowledge of OTC documentation and a clear understanding of a variety of clauses (and fallbacks) from OTC and PB agreements.
  • Strong understanding of Collateral Management.
  • Documentation Quality assurance and leveraging use of technologies & analytics in the Collateral management environment.
  • Go-to resource for the clients, who clients can reach out to in connection with a project, discussing new ideas and workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders from different teams/departments, and within a team formed in furtherance to a particular mandate.
  • Lead project teams effectively, creating an environment that fosters Thomson Reuters core values by practicing such values and providing guidance to others. Generally achieves the respect of direct reports and junior personnel.
  • Complete client relations / business development training and provides guidance to Director, VPs and Engagement Managers on BD opportunities and strategies.
  • Actively participate in new client on boarding, liaise with sales and client to understand the specific requirements, work closely with in house SMEs to estimate project efforts, prepare proposals, initiate conversations with the relevant stakeholders and act as a bridge between client and the team.
  • Must be an expert at all functions of the team and act like a mentor for juniors/peers. Responsible for assisting in managing the recruitment process for hiring new recruits.

The candidate must also be capable of overseeing contract abstraction engagements involving review of key data points from a wide variety of documents including Patent License Agreements, IT Procurement Agreements, Web Hosting Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Software and Data License Agreements, Vendor Services Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, etc.

  • Working closely with the SME to understand the nuances of the project and ensuring its successful implementation during the course of the project.
  • He/she should assume overall accountability of team’s performance and be involved in appraisal discussions.
  • Be proficient in MS excel, project management tools and techniques, outlook and MS Word.
  • Innovate and improve upon current processes and techniques.
  • Complete client relations / business development training and provides guidance to Director, VPs and Engagement Managers on BD opportunities and strategies
  • Language/communication skills enable effective escalation and ability to clarify language in documents and contextual meaning and editing on some occasions; Lead client calls; Able to effectively gauge client needs even if not expressly stated; be the main point of contact for internal as well as external representatives in connection with particular projects.
