The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters is the leading provider of technology and information solutions, as well as integrated tax compliance software and services to accounting, tax and corporate finance professionals in accounting firms, corporations, law firms and government. Position Title: Accounts Production (accounting firms segment) and Online Accounting Product Manager
Location: Exmouth, UK (or elsewhere with frequent travel to Exmouth)
Role Summary: Product leader for end-to-end development on feature/function specifications, to lead and champion product management for (a) accounts production and (b) online accounting products for the accounting firms market in the UK and EMEA. Remit includes the Digita desktop accounts production solution and its migration to a cloud solution in the Onvio suite, and in parallel a new cloud accounting product. Manages all aspects of definition and planning through production, release and end of lifecycle. Key contributor to operating strategy along with product manager peers.

Digita provides a full integrated suite of best of breed software for accountants and tax practitioners spanning desktop, mobile and the web and is used by over 5,000 accountants. Built around a central database of client and contact information, the Digita Professional Suite doesn't just link accounts and tax software; it provides an intuitive environment for client maintenance, tax and accounts compliance, contact management, letter writing, marketing and forms production. Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities: (Specific day-to-day responsibilities and milestones needed to achieve the objectives)
Expert guidance on strategy, design, business requirements, feature and functionality tradeoffs and release schedule for a proposition, set of propositions, products, or services.
Direct and influence cross-functional teams in order to ensure dependencies for proposition, product or service delivery are met.
Works closely with clients as “the voice of the customer” to gather and prioritize client feedback to drive innovation and increase client adoption and retention. Frequent client visits/interaction essential.
Supports commercial facing teams in client engagement and retention activities
May be involved in budgeting activities, development of 3rd party partnerships
Demonstrates expertise on our portfolio of products and industry trends.
Develops and execute plans to sunset obsolete products and services
Responsible for the maintenance and updating of professional content deployed to the client base.
Scope and Impact:
May have limited financial responsibility (either revenue or budgetary) for owned proposition, products or services.
Global or regional business impact.
May work on a single or multiple propositions, products or services.
Ability to lead a virtual team across development, Quality Assurance and product/proposition managers and management to execute along strategic goals.
May manage a team responsible for delivering the product(s) within their responsibility.

Essential to this role will be the ability to have a knowledgeable discussion with clients technical accounting areas and therefore experience of accounting will be vital and accounting qualifications preferable.
