Digital Learning Experience Designer Internship - Summer 2018

Job Description

As a Digital Learning Experience Designer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience using agile adult instructional design and ADDIE design processes to support the growing demand for learning and development projects within the Legal business group.

You will help design and develop classroom, eLearning, mobile and technology learning solutions for Legal Sales and Customer Support. Additionally, you will collaborate and partner with the Curriculum & Digital Learning Experience Design team, the Training, Education and Development team and key partners in the Legal business to build learning solutions for adult learners that will drive behavioral change and increase job capabilities, revenue and retention.

Responsibilities:

Design:

  • Key member of a team responsible for assessing, researching, crafting, sourcing, developing, implementing and evaluating training solutions
  • Design learning elements supporting classroom, virtual, on the job learning moments and eLearning required as part of curriculum development

Develop:

  • Develop, source and produce classroom, eLearning and mobile instructional design
  • Craft quizzes, exams and pre/post tests in Learning Management System (LMS) or other systems, and program tools for blended assessment (curriculum)
  • Create job aids and just-in-time mini modules in LMS or other systems (curriculum and non-curriculum)
  • Maintain and operate various technologies used in the delivery of instructional and/or interactive programs and courses
  • Follow standards and development process including testing and quality assurance

  • Creative thinker with ability to bring innovative ideas to the team
  • Strong business insight required
  • Phenomenal teammate with strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, self directed and self learner; comfortable with prioritizing, establishing objectives and processes, and working to achieve them
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with all departments and organizational levels
  • Ability to learn and navigate quickly when faced with new, unfamiliar or ambiguous situations; can quickly grasp the underlying issue
  • Knowledge of sales and legal industry/business desired

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program considering design, development fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of instructional design
  • Experience designing and developing online eLearning content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Flash or industry equivalent
  • Experience with rapid instructional design and delivery required
  • Experience designing multi-media eLearning using audio, video, simulations and social media
  • Strong computer, Web navigation and technical skills
  • Experience with agile design process
