Business Unit: Tax and Accounting

The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters is the leading provider of technology and information solutions, as well as integrated tax compliance software and services to accounting, tax and corporate finance professionals in accounting firms, corporations, law firms and government. Position Title:   Inside Sales Representative

Location – Exmouth or remote working.

Role Summary

The primary focus of this role is to achieve a sales revenue target through new business sales of the Digita range of products to small practices (1 & 2 partner firms). A key priority of this role is to forge new relationships and increase awareness of the Digita offerings in the market and to make new business sales as a result.

A number of sales leads arising from marketing campaigns, the Digita website and our own dedicated internal teleappointing team will be provided to help generate sales opportunities. However, the successful candidate will also be expected to supplement these leads through their own outbound sales lead generation activities such as cold calling.

In order to covert the sales leads into sales wins the successful candidate will need to conduct web based meetings with the prospects. To be successful in these meeting the candidate will need to have a general understanding of the Accountancy market, be proficient in consultative sales techniques and able to demonstrate the full range of Digita products. Presales resources will be available when more complex or important demonstrations are required.

Digita provides a full integrated suite of best of breed software for accountants and tax practitioners and is used by over 5,000 accountants. Built around a central database of client and contact information, the Digita Professional Suite doesn't just link accounts and tax software; it provides an intuitive environment for client maintenance, tax and accounts compliance, contact management, letter writing, marketing and forms production. (

Major Responsibilities :

  • Cold calling prospects and lead generation to discover new opportunities – circa 150 calls per week.
  • Calling and liaising with existing clients regarding their existing subscriptions and any cross sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrating the Digita suite to prospects and clients – circa 3 to 5 per week.
  • Liaising with Teleappointers / CSMs regarding prospects and clients.
  • Commercial awareness - staying abreast of any updates and developments with the software.
