Financial Analyst II - FP&A

Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Provide finance support for FindLaw and consolidated Small Law Firm and Consumer business.  This position supports the FP&A process and provides decision support to the FindLaw product team.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • FP&A
    • Facilitate monthly close and forecast process
    • Assist the team to complete major timelines (Plan, Re-Plan, Mid Year)
    • Create monthly reporting packages and summarize risks and opportunities
    • Perform monthly Expense/Revenue Reconciliations
    • Assist with corporate and FindLaw Leadership presentations
  • Product and Capital
    • Build business cases that support FindLaw Capital spend
    • Partner with Product and ET&O teams to track and report business case progress and results
  • Manage budget for G&A Cost Center
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required - Finance, Accounting, or Management focus preferred
  • 2+ years experience with financial analysis or financial reporting
  • Highly motivated and self-directed worker with the ability to work independently within the context of a complex, matrix organization to drive results.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment with changing priorities and providing feedback to leadership.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in financial accounting, financial analysis for decision support, financial modeling, planning, forecasting, business partnering and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.  Hyperion familiarity a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
