Job Description

Role Purpose

This position is responsible for executing business and strategy related projects.  The role will receive high level direction from and collaborate with leadership across Technology and the larger organization.  Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget, and that issues, risks and dependencies are effectively identified, tracked and mitigated.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Responsible for defining, documenting and executing projects of high complexity and visibility across Legal Technology, actively participating in all phases of the projects.
  • Represent Legal Technology on ET&O wide initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Manage 3rd party SOWs, documenting internal process changes and resolving any vendor issues.
  • Oversees and monitors progress on complex and/or multiple projects relative to schedules, budgets and quality.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related field.  Advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience in a matrixed organization.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience with implementation of large scale, cross-functional projects in a technology environment.
  • Background in technology, with strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated achievements in planning, directing and implementing complex projects on time, within budget and with desired functionality.
  • Ability to be broadly focused and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to present at the senior management level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required, with the ability to develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization, including the senior management level.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Experience developing strategic programs and managing events an advantage.
  • PMP certification a plus.
