Job Description

Purpose of Role

What is the primary purpose of the role?  How does it contribute to the achievement of overall business objectives?

The role's primary purpose is to head project management within Litigation Solutions. 
Senior Managers are close enough to particular projects to be intimately familiar with them, but perform office-wide functions within the organization (i.e. for the Mumbai; Noida; and Carrolton delivery centers).  As such, this role serves as a vital link between department management and the review teams.  Senior Managers ("SMs") typically have over five years of document review experience.  SMs have primary project management responsibilities around effort estimates, financial projections, communications with external stakeholders, and play decisive roles in staff management and leadership, performance metrics, quality, deadlines, and tracking to financial performance and efficiencies. SMs tend to be engagement leads, often cultivating longer-term relationships with clients that are not purely transactional or project-based, and are almost always the client-facing lead or co-lead on their projects, even as they are supervised by seniors.

Responsibilities

* Oversee multiple projects at any given point in time.
*Primarily client-facing responsibility for certain clients, in conjunction with a more senior employee.  Maintains relationships with clients to manage expectation of service including work products, timings and deliverables
* It is expected of them to run at least small to medium sized projects independently with no supervision. 
*  Possess the ability to leverage particular projects into additional business development opportunities
* Subject matter expertise is expected in areas where company has developed expertise through repeat projects; highly skilled in multiple e-discovery platforms.
* Holistic approach to the department's staffing needs, adjusting between projects (including cross-office projects) as required -- i.e. SMs cannot simply focus on "own" projects, even as they are assigned to particular projects.
* Focused on, and suggests, continued process improvements
* Extensive administrative responsibilities primarily centered on the staffing, recruitment, and employee appraisal processes.
*Serves as department/function representative on campus- or client-visits.
* Invest and see through the key initiative and process improvement both at project and at department level.
* Helps in creating positive learning culture by coaching, counseling and developing juniors.
*Conversant with major clients' individual rules and preferences; familiar with major clients' MSAs 
* Project scoping both in terms of cost and meeting client SLAs
* Strong presentation and communication skills as they will be required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders frequently.

Sr. Manager have a direct and regular relationship with client contacts and obtain guidance from senior personnel who may maintain higher level client relationship contact.
* Financial: Responsible for the accuracy of project-specific revenue and effort projections; skilled at scoping non-standard projects. Responsible for trying to ensure that project is completed within budgeted hours.
* Business impact and geographic scope: Critical to delivery of document review services in Litigation Solutions delivery centers in Mumbai, Noida and Carrolton. Often required to run cross-office projects.
* Team size: 20-50
