Business Relationship Manager, Financial & Risk

Job Description

Network Services underpin the majority of revenue generating activity across Thomson Reuters, delivering feeds, desktops and transactional services, across both private networks and the public Internet.  The Architecture and Solutions Consultancy functions fulfill a key role within Enterprise Network Technology (ENT) for complex, high cost/value projects by ensuring that requirements are clearly identified and understood by all stakeholders, and that business drivers are well understood.

We are currently seeking a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to join our globally distributed Business Engagement team.   Our Business Relationship Manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure our external stakeholders are fully aware of network services through the service catalogs and are in a position to provide well defined requirements while submitting their demand.  They will also be accountable for gathering ENT order requirements and maintaining relations with Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting and Legal business units as well as Financial & Risk in the Americas.

Areas of Accountability

  • Proactively engage with BU stakeholders to hold regular discussions, forums and briefing with BU customers to ensure customer satisfaction and strengthen customer
  • Communicate the Service Catalogue to stakeholders and help them to navigate through it
  • Develop successful relationships with senior business stakeholders
  • Engage with the requestors and work closely with the order management team to clarify and validate network service requirements
  • Work closely with the solutions consultant to help scoping complex network requirements
  • Maintain an ENT book of work for the different lines of business and keep inform the requestors on progress, issues
  • Advocate to ensure work prioritization (requests, plan, roadmap, release) with Proposition and Delivery Management
  • Strive to deliver highest level of Customer experience by ensuring the optimum level of support from ENT
  • Work closely with ENT Proposition Managers and other ENT teams to gain the most up-to-date view of proposition strategies, proposition roadmaps/releases, and ensure the Service Catalogue reflects the customer needs
  • Lead by example; demonstrating energy, passion, enthusiasm and acting with integrity.

Responsibility for work of others

  • No direct line management responsibility is required though it may be required to functionally specify and/or oversee the work of other contributing solutions consultant or architecture resources.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience Business Relationship Management, Technical Account Management or Network Solution Consultant
  • Undergraduate degree in network communications/computer science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, to explain complex ideas to wide range of audience
  • Working knowledge of information industry and associated technologies, markets and products
  • Experience in Industry best-practice processes, account management and  project management
  • Good knowledge of Telecommunication and network technologies (Internet, Extranet, Private network)
  • Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.   
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Travel
Occasional domestic travel may be required.
