JOB SPECIFICATIONS – REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5.5 Years of experience of the following:
Software Application Support
Some exposure to Windows Administration (inc 2012).
ITIL based release management processes.
Scripting (i.e. shell, Perl, Python) and SQL.
Good grasp of IP networking and associated tools (i.e. Fiddler & tcpdump) to help trouble shoot communications problems. APIs
IP networking and networking related technologies such as switches and load balancers. Management systems such as Sensu, Nagios. Web server technologies (IIS, Apache) and application servers.
Bachelors of Engg in Computer science, Electronics, Information Systems, Electrical and telecommunications.
Produce application installation and work instructions documentation to a high standard. Work on several projects concurrently.
A strong team Player, who will put the team's objectives first and be supportive to other members.
Help build on and nurture ideas.
Be self-motivated and self-reliant.
A logical and methodical approach to problem is required.
Candidate should be open for 24x7 shifts.
The successful candidates should posses good communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills. A background in a busy operational or service delivery environment would also be advantageous. The ability to follow standards and processes, such as change, incident and configuration management are a must for this role.
