Our Sales Development Representative (SDR) Program prepares candidates for an exciting and rewarding sales career in the highly competitive legal arena. This program will provide you with hands-on experience qualifying leads while building product knowledge and sales skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a first contact for prospects of Thomson Reuters via inbound leads, completing an average of 100+ calls and emails per day
  • Qualify leads and generate over 30 sales opportunities each month
  • Capture critical information about the prospect’s business which creates a seamless handoff to the sales executive while demonstrating to the prospect that we have listened carefully to their goals and aspirations
  • Value based conversations with prospects and customers to determine needs and appropriate next steps
  • Interact by phone and email with key personnel up to, and including, C-level executives
  • Manage and organize the prospect pipeline effectively by allocating time and energy across pipeline planning, lead development, and subsequent sales efforts for qualified opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Manager and Sales/Account Executives
  • Perform database and record keeping activities
  • Maintain professional conduct and represent Thomson Reuters well with proper internal and external communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • 0-2 years work experience
  • Desire for a long-term career in sales
  • Able to demonstrate time management, basic telesales skills and knowledge of Thomson Reuters products and services (training provided)
  • Superior communication (verbal, written and presentation) and interpersonal skills (personable and professional)
  • Goal oriented with a drive to reach both individual and team goals
  • Able to gain competence in own area and acquire a higher level understanding of role, processes and procedures
  • Intelligent, motivated and competitive individual with varied interests and experiences
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate using technical concepts
