Thomson Reuters Pricing Service

Thomson Reuters Pricing Service (TRPS) is an independent, global evaluated pricing service covering over 2.6 million fixed income securities, derivatives and bank loans.  Coverage spans all major financial markets and prices are available at multiple times daily.  TRPS evaluations, which provide detailed transparency and market insight, are designed to support asset managers, custodian banks, mutual funds, investment banks, accounting firms, and financial research providers. 

The TRPS staff consists of 145 fixed income professionals in New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, Beijing, Bangalore and Gdynia.  Our experienced evaluators apply consistent and transparent pricing methodologies, incorporating observable market data and standard market convention practices. Coverage includes sovereign debt, corporate debt, money market securities, convertible securities, bank debt, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, municipal securities, derivatives, and structured notes.

Role Summary:

Provide high quality EMEA ABS valuations in line with client-centric delivery standards.

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely pricing for the universe of EMEA ABS instruments
  • Manage/monitor daily Quality Assurance (QA) utilizing all available resources, reports, and tools to minimize risk of price corrections/delays
  • Provide high quality customer service by ensuring challenges are addressed promptly and effectively
  • Represent ABS valuations team in internal and external forums (due diligence meetings, client visits, conferences)
  • Collaborate with management team to increase productivity through automation, reengineering, and other strategies and to initiate and develop new areas of growth/coverage/capabilities
  • Take an active role in designing and implementing methodology, model, and process enhancements as needed to meet client/market expectations
  • Participate in and advise upon transparency matters
  • Monitor the EMEA ABS and overall Securitized market
  • Obtain market color through network of contacts, research and BWIC activity
  • Maintain close contacts with the dealer community to obtain market insights and gain transparency
  • Obtain and analyze weekly research commentary from dealer desks and ratings agencies

Essential Skills/Experience Required:

  • 3 to 5 years Euro ABS evaluated pricing, structuring, modeling, or analytics background
  •  Quantitative and analytical skills; deep knowledge of asset type specific methodology/analytics
  • Valuations expert with significant industry connections and relationships
  • Expertise in global financial markets and specifically, fixed income and securitized products
  • Ability to partner with Pricing Service and Sales Specialist teams to manage and further develop TRPS client relationships
  •  Ability to work effectively with Project Management team, Development teams, and Vendors/Partners
  •  Ability to cultivate and maintain a network of broker/street contacts
  •  Communication skills
  •  Customer Service Skills
  •  Ability and willingness to mentor/train junior staff and to participate in the summer and full time analyst programs

Desired Skills/Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of third party software solutions
  •  Prior experience in dealing with clients abroad; knowledge of foreign languages
  • Ability to network and build internal and external relationships; ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor/train

Education/ Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree ideally focused in Business, Finance, Financial Engineering or Mathematics  - required
  • CFA charter holder or Series certified candidate; other relevant Fixed Income certifications – a plus
