Job Description

The Thomson Reuters Enterprise Partnerships team is seeking a results-oriented, highly-collaborative thought leader who combines deep partner business development experience with business acumen and proactive leadership for the position of Partnerships & Alliances Director. In this position you will be responsible for identifying, validating and executing “sell-with” and “sell-through” opportunities with our largest enterprise partners. This includes developing the strategy for each partner, managing the business development cadence with your partner counterparts, working with business unit executives on their specific partnership needs, and working with the wider team on cross-partner initiatives. You will work closely with teams across Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product Management and Technology. You will report to the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Partnerships.

This role could be located at any of our  NYC, San Francisco, Boston or Carrollton, TX locations.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities: 

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Partnerships, the role holder will:

  • Define partner strategy for specific enterprise partners
  • Identify and manage pipeline of new partnership opportunities for specific enterprise partners
  • Define commercial strategy, and success metrics, for each new partnership opportunity
  • Shape partnership business cases, and successfully shepherd these through business unit governance and investment review processes
  • Work with business unit teams to shape go-to-market activities for new partnerships, including strategy to maximize sales and revenue per partner, and other key revenue-generating metrics
  • Work with account directors to implement partnership strategies, solicit new partnership ideas and shape account plans
  • Gather feedback from partner contacts and offer solutions both internally and externally


  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing, Channel Partnership, and/or Business Development experience at a technology or services company
  • Proven track record in prospecting, negotiating, closing, and executing partnerships
  • Expert technology acumen; deep understanding of technology adoption and market drivers
  • Collaborative personality; comfortable working across many functions and teams
  • Self-starter, with proven professional success, who is prepared to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Expert business case and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously


  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM ecosystems
  • Familiarity with Thomson Reuters businesses and products, particularly Tax, Financial and Risk; understanding of competitor and customer landscape and trends across Thomson Reuters businesses and industry verticals
