Location: Bangalore

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

The PEX Business Analyst is responsible for transforming data into insight - by producing the research, data analysis and reporting solutions that help Process Excellence and Transformation team, making better project decisions to drive change, operational efficiencies and business value.

Work in this role spans several key areas:

Collecting, transforming, and analyzing data and metrics to identify important insights and trends. Ensuring that the data is accurate and can be presented in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to key stakeholders.  Helping design, work on and develop new methodologies related to reporting and analytics solutions that help inform the business and that can be scaled across the enterprise through PEX/Transformation.

This role would have direct reporting to Head of Process Excellence.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Provide reports and data for multiple purposes including maintaining dashboards and standard report outputs.
  • Appropriately account for the timeliness and quality of all assignments.
  • Persuasively communicate results and relentlessly innovate how the company thinks about people metrics and data visualization.
  • Design and develop databases, interactive reports and dashboards as requested.
  • Analyze and identify trends, relationships, correlations from multiple electronic data sources.
  • Maintain and promote standard definitions and approaches across departments and BUs to ensure accurate and consistent workforce reporting.
  • Develop reporting as needed to assess ROI/success metrics for PEX projects
  • Articulate hypothesis, insights, conclusions and recommendations from analyses and participating in the design of statistical models for applications involving multiple statistical techniques
  • Consult with internal clients on their ad-hoc reporting needs and help designing reporting solutions that tell the story by designing and generating clean designs and charts.
  • Investigate possible methods of improving and/or increasing the automation of the reporting process.
  • Develop and execute survey solutions and provide analytics, correlations and presentations on results.
  • Support PEX in other capacities in line with role and capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for the metrics report generating process.
  • Be adaptive. Be productive quickly in a new environment that is fast paced. Learn new processes and multiple technologies.

                                 

    Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • Graduate in Finance, Business, or IT with statistics subject.
  • 3 - 5 years total work exp in analytics/data management/operations
  • Experience of Advance Excel /SQL/SAS/ VBA / Data Visualization Tools like Spotfire, Tableau etc., is desired
  • Knowledge of statistics at an intermediate level and prior experience conducting statistical analysis is strongly desirable
  • Experience designing and building dashboards on any platform.
  • Experience with running surveys and analyzing survey data desired.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills; comfortable interacting with all levels of management, able to forge strong working relationships across multiple functions and time zones.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and effectively prioritize work.
  • Agile, motivated team player; able to work independently, and execute across boundaries in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
  • Some experience in progressive analytics, statistics, decision support
  • Self-motivation, Well spoken, well groomed, professional demeanor and team orientation are required.
