Job Duties: To be part of the cross-functional team that is responsible for development and maintenance of the Thomson Reuters Identity system leveraging the ForgeRock identity management software. Duties include:
Design software solutions for new features and enhancements Write new software, make modifications to existing software, and integrate software applications and modules as part of an agile software development process. Write well-designed, well-constructed, and well-tested code. Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work. Coordinate with other technical leads and architects to ensure that design solutions meet standards Develop applications using Java / J2EE with Spring framework Develop REST APIs using Java / J2EE Understanding of SQL database design and running queries Integrate applications using Identity and Access Management (IAM) related technologies, including any of the following: LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, WS-Trust Configure OpenAM, OpenDJ and develop custom plugins for integrating various applications Deploy applications in Tomcat and/or Apache Servers in Linux environment Develop shell scripts for deploying to application servers Communicate design solutions to business partner customers, both on a technical and business requirement level Provide status updates for own scope of work within projects. Participate in internal team and status meetings. Research and recommend enhancements and new features, working closely with other leads. Provide technical support and resolution for customer-related issues. Provide creative and elegant solutions to complex problems. Prepare technical specifications and documentation. Participate in software releases.
Position requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 5 years’ hands-on experience in software development. Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently:
5 years’ experience developing web applications in Java, J2EE and Spring Framework. 3 years’ experience writing REST web services in Java/J2EE. 3 years’ experience in deploying Java/J2EE web applications in Tomcat and/or Apache servers. 3 years’ experience using agile/scrum software development methodologies and working with a global team. 2 years’ experience in writing SQL queries and developing Java/J2EE applications with SQL database. 2 years’ experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) related technologies, including any of the following: LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, or WS-Trust. 2 years’ experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripting for automating deployment/configuration tasks. 1 year hands-on experience with ForgeRock OpenAM for integrating applications using SAML, OAuth, OIDC and also customizing/configuring OpenAM according to application requirements. 1 year hands-on experience in configuring ForgeRock OpenDJ as CTS, Configuration & User store. Also, installing and configuring OpenDJ in Linux servers.
