Senior Market Analyst - Benchmark Content Production.

Job Description

A Senior Content Analyst in the team that is the first point of contact to collect, calculate and publish financial rates and Benchmarks working with panel banks and data providers in relation to their contributions and will be responsible for maintaining good working relationship with both the panel banks and Administrators and  Associations. In addition the group are a global point of contact for all Benchmark data issues as a Content Resolver group, and have a wide range of interactions with various groups across the organisation.

Benchmarks across the globe are being scrutinized by regulators. Regulation and compliance are increasing across all areas of the Benchmark universe and the benchmark support team is the only Regulated Benchmark unit that operates in this sphere. The team is required to operate within this environment and apply the same high standards of work whilst complying with new regulations and compliance guidance.

Financial & Risk Customer Operations, Content and Insight, Benchmark Content Operations.

Product or Service:

• Oversight, supervision and support of the daily polling of panel banks for Benchmarks.

Role Summary:

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Working within a regulated space that requires high standards of work with an comprehensive understanding of existing, and planned, regulatory requirements (i.e. IOSCO).

• Point of contact from across the business for enhancements, projects, knowledge, client escalations.

• A key individual for Problem Management processes: Incident Management; TRT’s; Communication and Escalations as per Regulatory requirements; Service restoration; PIR’s.

• A key client facing content resolver group.

• Compiling reports to Administrators and Financial Associations.

• To ensure an efficient flow of contributed, fed and dealt data to the real-time network.

• To respond to internal and external client queries.

• Supervision and ongoing training of Market Analysts.

• Maintain the integrity of historical records.

• To perform additional tasks within the team to maintain Thomson Reuters benchmark data.

• Utilising core Thomson Reuters front-to-back technology and systems to perform benchmark publications and monitoring tasks.

•To be involved effectively during Service Incidents/Outages, and be engage in the IRT process and assisting in data recovery across datasets.

•To own the Operations Metrics and Quality assurance role, providing data, analysis and mitigations for senior management dashboard.

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Essential Skills/Experience Required

  • Comprehensive understanding of IOSCO and MAR-8, plus knowledge of MIFID II rules and implications in terms of Benchmarks.
  • Write and interpret PRS’.
  • Compliance skills: ability to apply regulation to real-life facts; risk assessment capabilities.
  • Expert in benchmark content.
  • Microsoft Excel - knowledge and experience to include live data contributions using Eikon.
  • JIRA user.
  • Service Manager 9 accredited user.
  • SalesForce Service C loud user.
  • High standard of communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, to all levels of the organization and to external stakeholders.
  • Able to support, collaborate and promote a cohesive and inclusive team, ability to prioritise and align work with teams’ and businesses strategies and goals. 
  • Able to initiate and conduct process reviews and implement findings and enhancements.
  • Ability to clarify content policy issues and collection methodologies in collaboration with data operations.
  • Sound understanding of Money Markets to include: Repo’s, BA’s, Spot FX across EMEA.

Desired Skills/Experience Required:

  • Experience of Microsoft Excel Macros.
  • Knowledge of JIRA.
  • Knowledge of SalesForce.
  • High attention to detail and proficient worker.
  • The ability to work well within a team.
  • The aptitude to learn new processes quickly and absorb information promptly
  • Understanding of MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint etc).
  • Microsoft outlook – high level of knowledge and experience.

Education/ Certifications:

  • Desirable: Minimum 2 A Levels.
