Senior Software Developer in Test (Cloud-native Development)

As part of the product engineering team, you will utilize your talents and expertise to develop one of our newest (Greenfield) Tax Computation and Compliance Reporting platforms. You’ll have a key role working alongside other engineers and analysts. You have top-notch communication and interpersonal skills. Your hands will be on the keyboard, but you’ll also be involved with helping the team reach consensus on strategies, roadmaps and designs.

All about you
- More than five years of SDET experience with programming proficiency in two or more of the following - Java/J2EE, C#, Java script, HTML, Perl, Groovy, SQL
- Four years or more specializing in test development (TDD/BDD) - Selenium, Jasmine, Protractor, Grunt/Gulp, Karma, Cucumber
- Good understanding of n-tier application and RESTful design
- Solid knowledge of Microservices test automation
- Exposure to cloud native application development (AWS), including setting up performance testing environments in the cloud
- Experience in Performance Testing (load, soak, stress) – Jmeter, Gattling, WebLoad, OpenSTA
- Good experience with CI/CD/DevOps processes and tools - worked in an environment where releasable code is delivered every two-to-four weeks.
- Partner with Business Analysts to develop user stories and to maintain a groomed product backlog
- Strong proponent of Agile/Lean software development methodology.
- Ability to build and deliver hands-on technology proof-of-concepts and demonstrations.
- Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
