Executive Assistant to the Chief People Officer

Job Description

The Executive Assistant will provide a full range of administrative support to the Chief People Office, Thomson Reuters. This role will interact with C-suite leadership, their administrative support and other team members globally on highly responsible administrative duties which require tact, diplomacy and exercising confidentiality. The Executive Assistant responds to multiple priorities, including non-standard requests.  The incumbent will work on significant matters which require anticipating and responding to requests, problem solving, decision making and good judgment.


  • Partner with the Chief People Office, Thomson Reuters to gain an understanding of her ongoing needs and expectations
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and presentations
  • Provide phone and office coverage during all working hours
  • Extensive scheduling, expense reporting and work flow management
  • Manage / coordinate multiple recurring meetings, webcasts, and other events
  • Handle a variety of administrative tasks, ad hoc requests and special projects
  • Prepare domestic and international itineraries and travel arrangements, including procuring visas
  • Successfully communicate and build effective working relationships with other administrative professionals, office and building personnel, executives and others across the company



  • Minimum of 5 years experience providing executive level support

Knowledge and Skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage workload effectively with competing demands for resources and time
  • Proven organization skills including ability to shift focus between responsibilities quickly
  • Provide consistent follow through
  • Detail orientation with the ability to work efficiently with complex information.
  • Highest level of integrity required
  • Must possess advanced computer skills (MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience working within fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multi-cultural business environment
  • Proven oral and written communication abilities: demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues
  • Familiarity with Thomson Reuters billing, travel and expense systems a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of general office practices; resourcefulness in gathering data and getting answers to questions
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks including a proven ability to meet aggressive deadlines


  • College diploma/University degree required
