Job Description

TRAINING SPECIALIST

ROLE PURPOSE AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Conducts functional training on the company’s products (mainly ONESOURCE Global Trade) for customers, partners and/or employees, to support/drive product increased usage and preference, retention and new sales.
  • Delivers consultative training programs to users in a variety of training environments, including live/face-to-face, Webex, social networks, with groups and individuals.
  • Develops basic, advanced and customized training programs to meet client needs.
  • Conducts needs analysis by interacting with customers and functional teams to develop specifications for content of courses.
  • Offers training to enhance usage of Thomson Reuters' products by leveraging understanding of customer needs.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge on product enhancements and changes.
  • Works with subject matter experts in product development, technical support, sales and marketing to ensure that course content reflects current product features.
  • Prepares lesson plans from product documentation, field service requirements or software documentation.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase customer ROI and ensure learning retention through effective training activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of business products/services (International Trade and/or Supply Chain Management software solutions).
  • ONESOURCE product experience preferred (ONESOURCE Global Trade or others)
  • Technical training experience preferred
  • Fluent English.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese desirables.
  • Willingness/ability to travel.
  • Extensive related experience in professional services or formal training role.

  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong research, administration and organizational skills.
  • Professional training skills including needs assessment, instructional design, facilitation and evaluation.
  • Ability to focus on customers, drive results and collaborate across boundaries.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Post degree preferred.
