About the Role

We’re have an exciting, newly created opportunity for a Product Manager to join Thomson Reuters’ growing Professional business. In this role, you’ll be part of a team responsible for driving customer and business value for our customers using our online and desktop tax products and services designed specifically for accounting practices. 

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Being a customer advocate by learning about our customer problems and be able to clearly articulate these problems to various stakeholders including developers, UX, BA and formulate a solution to overcome the problem
  • Work closely with government agencies e.g. ATO to ensure our customer needs are represented and that Thomson Reuters is at the forefront of government initiatives and compliance changes
  • Take ownership of your Tax products and provide strong leadership and become a champion for your client base whilst working with local and overseas stakeholders
  • Work with the business, strategy, development, marketing, support and sales teams and provide them with the tools and knowledge to enable them to excel at their tasks

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Product Manager in an agile development team with both online and desktop software experience
  • Strong knowledge of the taxation / compliance market segment in Australia
  • Creative, innovative and excellent complex problem solver thinking outside the box to generate solutions to customer problems.
  • Strong understanding of agile development practices and the role of the Product Manager, demonstrated by a proven track record of successful delivery
  • Be degree qualified in Business, Commerce or related disciplines
  • Have understanding of latest software developments, trends and concepts within the accounting practice market segments
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with a high competency in collaboration
