Position Summary

Reuters Consumer is an agile digital publishing business in the heart of the world’s largest news organization. Our mission is to be the premier source of news for global professionals. We combine technology and editorial innovation across Reuters.com and Reuters TV to deliver a powerful experience to over 50 million monthly users on the web, mobile and set-top-boxes.

The Audience Development Executive position is a full-time position in our Tokyo, Japan office. This is a unique opportunity to join a consumer media group with one of the world’s leading content producers and brands. You will be responsible to drive growth of Reuters websites in the and applications through content partnerships, promotion and site optimization. In this highly collaborative role, you will work cross-functionally with editorial, product, sales and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimizing traffic from various user channels (Social, newsletter, linkbacks, search and partnerships)
  • Developing hypotheses & experiments on recirculation features for the platforms
  • Working with the various team on new strategies & partnerships to broaden Reuters reach in Japan
  • Providing regular performance reports and analyses to the editorial, sales and product team
  • Support the Business Development team with local initiatives

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in either media, entertainment, digital advertising agency, online marketing, or publishing organization
  • Analytics saavy & skilled at spotting traffic trends
  • Good understanding of digital business models and strategies
  • Entrepreneurial and pragmatic
  • Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas to all levels of management
  • Native Japanese speaker, English conversational
