Our Sales Development Representative (SDR) and Business Development Representative (BDR) positions will prepare you for an exciting and rewarding career in the highly competitive legal sales arena. These positions will provide you with hands-on experience sourcing and qualifying leads while building product knowledge and sales skills. The position offers a base salary and variable compensation that is directly related to your success.  In addition, this position provides and extraordinary benefits package, and extensive training and career growth opportunities.

As a BDR or SDR you are expected to hit several key goals.  These Include:

  • Hit or exceed your monthly and annual targets and maintain consistently strong performance at 100% of your YTD goals
  • Hit or exceed your daily contact targets and activity metrics
  • Actively engage in the coaching process, partnering well with managers and individuals on your teams to share ideas and learn from each other
  • Accurately, and in a timely manner, log all activities and customer contacts in Salesforce
  • Consistently live the Thomson Reuters culture and values

In order to be successful attaining these goals, you will:

  • Be an Agile Learner.  Demonstrating the ability to rapidly learn new knowledge and acquire new skills
  • Remain Effective under Pressure.  Maintaining stable performance under pressure (such as time management pressure or metrics driven goals). Driven mindset to meet and exceed goals while maintaining motivated outlook.
  • Be Tenacious.  Displaying determination, persistence and patience and being resilient in the face of adversity.
  • Be effective at Prioritization.  Demonstrating an ability to self-direct your own activities and work through goal setting successfully.  Manage your schedule and be planful for your day and month in order to achieve stated goals.
  • Have strong Business and Professional Acumen. Applying general knowledge of business principles to the decisions you make each day.  Understand that how you interact with those around you impacts the business at-large.

To be considered, you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills (personable and professional)
  • Ability to conduct self in a professional manner
  • Agile learners - Ability to learn something new
  • Commitment to a schedule that coincides with the customer’s work day
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to navigate software programs such as Microsoft
  • Experience in CRM preferred
  • Motivated and competitive with a positive attitude
