Head of Platform Engineering & Architecture
The Head of Platform Engineering & Architecture is a full-time position in London. You will be responsible for leading a distributed team of engineers focused on delivery of Reuters news, photos, and video to our consumer-facing products. You will oversee the architecture and implementation of our backend data systems, content delivery APIs, and cloud-based infrastructure. As an experienced systems architect, you’ll design services and APIs that scale and allow for product experimentation and innovation. As an experienced engineering manager, you’ll implement best practices and patterns for high-quality and maintainable software development.
The Head of Platform Engineering & Architecture manages technical teams and is a focal point for architectural decisions across the Reuters Consumer division. You’re a manager of Development Team Leaders, Developers and other technical roles. Specifically, you’ll:
