Global Editorial Learning and Talent Coordinator

Job Description

Reuters is seeking a proactive, creative and efficient global editorial learning and talent coordinator. The position will be based in London. The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting Reuters training, talent, pipeline development, diversity and culture efforts including Project Connect, which are critical to forging the diverse editorial team we need to be an indispensible news leader.

Reporting to the Global Editor, Editorial Learning and Culture, the successful candidate will be a team player and self-starter with strong organizational skills and a blend of other talents, including computer literacy, basic project management, analytical and interpersonal skills. Administrative work will be part of the remit.

The successful applicant will have a track record of acquiring and applying new skills as needed in evolving work situations.

He/she will also be an important contact and source of support and follow-up for attendees of Reuters editorial training, and various other talent, diversity programs and culture programs.

Main responsibilities:

  • Global role supporting training, talent and diversity efforts of Global Editor, Training and Culture, and the broader team reporting to her.
  • Provide proactive, creative, and efficient project management and administrative support for new talent and diversity strategy and initiatives of Global Editor, Training and Culture.
  • Provide research on a variety of talent, diversity and learning issues , as needed
  • Analyze – and sometimes track down -- datasets on training, diversity and talent to help drive new strategies and initiatives
  • Be main global point person for new Learning Management System and own editorial training info/training on that system; create and manage the LMS content
  • Manage and update the Editorial Learning site and relevant talent/diversity sites or postings on The Hub
  • Provide global logistics and admin support for training, talent and diversity courses or meetings, materials, follow-up etc as needed.
  • Help manage and track global information on training, talent and diversity as needed by the team.
  • Own training course participation tracker; develop a database to track all of our training courses and participants globally, and by region (live and webinars)
  • Attend and sometimes run planning calls and other meetings/calls as needed – sometimes as only representative of the team – and brief Global Editor or team, as appropriate.
  • Develop databases to track information such as external talent we’d like to hire, as needed.
  • Be a presence in the London newsroom; be someone everyone knows is part of the learning team who can point people in right direction, refer them to materials etc
  • Be on top of training and talent offerings globally, where to find info on courses, materials, trainers, trackers etc
  • Provide other proactive support as needed.



  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Can-do attitude
  • Understanding of Reuters news and the clients we serve
  • Proven experience and skills in Project Management, talent or HR
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, especially Excel
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels
  • Self motivated, but with ability to work collaboratively


  • Familiarity with Hub a plus
  • Familiarity with Sharepoint a plus
  • Familiarity with new Learning Management System a plus
