Data Analyst, Economics

Job Description


You will join the Economic Content team based in Gdynia. In your role you will be responsible for update of tasks containing economic indicators time series within required timeliness and accuracy, keeping up to date with the methodology changes and maintenance of robots built within the department. You will develop knowledge of the national and international statistics, methodology and language skills content wise. Development within the role will lead you to handling service queries from the clients directly and creating own automations as per business requirements.


Our team provides over 7 million  economic indicators from national and international sources used by all Thomson Reuter clients. From general market profiles to very detailed economic indicators – our customers use them all for trend analysis, making long-term investment decisions as well as real-time ones.


  • At least basic knowledge of Russian
  • At least intermediate knowledge of Macroeconomics (you’ve heard about GDP or Inflation, right?)
  • Practical knowledge of MS Excel on intermediate level
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, intermediate level of English language
  • Ability to learn quickly and eagerness to learn a lot and collaborate with others
  • High level of attention to details


  • Update of economic indicators time series based on releases from primary sources of economic data (mostly statistical offices, central banks, ministries)
  • Ensure that data is collected and input according to the required standards of accuracy, timeliness and completeness
  • Respond to client’s questions, explaining the content and gathering feedback within a specific time frame
  • Communicate with the team on challenges you face and recommend ideas for improving the efficiency of procedures
  • Follow news about the current state of economy in the covered markets to better understand the reason for changes of the most popular indicators
