Job Description

Product Development Associate

As a Product Development Associate, you will participate in a cross-functional team charged with developing new features and enhancements for the TRSS product line. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. In this role you will also build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. We are looking for someone that possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

As part of this role you will partner with engineering to define product release requirements. You will work with Product Support and Operations to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. The Product Development Associate will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for the product offering, working with the customer facing teams and key customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product leader for end-to-end development on feature/function specifications for new products and services.
  • Expert guidance on strategy, design, business requirements, feature and functionality and release schedule for products and services.
  • Work closely with client teams to gather and prioritize client feedback to drive innovation and increase client adoption and retention.
  • Work closely with Product Support & Operations group for product launch and post launch management of new and/or enhanced products and services.
  • Act as a point of first reference for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with the Product Development team to address any issues that may arise.
  • Lead ongoing analysis, prioritization and scheduling of defect fixes.
  • Support client facing teams in client engagement and retention activities.
  • Assist in RFI/RFP responses for products and services.


  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Extensive knowledge of public records data strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of open source and social media data strongly preferred.
  • Previous Product Marketing and/or Development experience.
  • Ability to understand and apply technology to product development.
  • Proficiency in functional requirement writing with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex problems and solutions.
  • Strong verbal skills, with competency in collaboration. 
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work across the organization at all levels.
  • The ability to handle a heavy and challenging workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to travel to customer locations and company meetings.
